Littleton rejoined the yard after being sold and left to go to Tim Vaughn he seemed to lose his form and after a lean spell during 2009 Season he showed a welcome return to form on returning to us. He ended his season with a win at Fontwell, two seconds at Chepstow and a fourth at Plumpton. He is back in training after a summer relaxing in the sunshine at Elm Tree and we look forward to sharing his successes this season with his owner Richard Edwards.

Pete is still resting with Mike and Janet Denning after a minor tendon strain. He ran as well as ever with two seconds and two fourths last season, we had a try over fences this time however having schooled very well at home he didn't fancy doing the same on the track,he will be back soon to start walking, he continues to be owned by Tim Seegar.

Frank is owned by the Breeder of that great little horse Sergent Cecil, Don Hazzard. He is especially enjoying his running over 5F & 6F and particularly at Bath where he has won, come a close second and fourth twice. He has also come a close second at Folkestone and clearly his least favourite is Chepstow where he has only managed two fifths. Definitely growing in strength and experience, he is enjoying his racing and should everything fall in his favour he is very likely to be enjoying the spotlight again soon.

Vacario is another of Don Hazzard's horses in training with Mark. Having recently joined the yard from Charlie Mann, Mark gave him an opportunity to show his form first at an evening meeting at Windsor on the Flat and more recently over Hurdles at Newton Abbot. On each occasion he has come 5th and shown good promise. Definitely one to watch and might take his chances over fences this season.

Willa is another new addition to the yard having been bought privately from Barry Hills by his owner Tim Seegar. Having shown improving form first time out for the yard when coming 3rd at Salisbury it is hoped that her future with Mark will be a bright one and one to keep an eye on, she has the size to jump a hurdle in the future.

Casual is a stable favourite and ridden out by all four of the children from aged 13 to 4. Owned by Kay Russell, Casual enjoyed end of season sucess when coming first over hurdles at Fonwell and a second at Huntingdon. Since then he has been running on the flat, running at Royal Ascot much to the enjoyment of the entire Mark Gillard Racing family of owners. He is likely to have some time off now and will return over hurdles at the start of the 2010/11 season and might try jumping fences as well.

Catholic Hill, another newcomer to the yard having been bought at the Cheltenham sale out of Charlie Mann's yard by Kay Russell, is currently standing at 17.2 hands, and regularly being ridden out by any one of the Gillard children. He has been running on the flat during this summer and should win a little race, he has had one run over hurdles this summer and is now handicapped in the right place.
